Son Oeste

Son Oeste (translates to song of the west) is one of the few salsa orchestras with a wide array of musicians from all over Latin America.  The band, which was formed in 2000, has members from Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Columbia, and Mexico.

Son Oeste specializes in popular salsa, cumbia, cha-chas, and boleros ~ the diversity of the group is the reason for its distinct sound.

The group is not the typical 13 piece orchestra one sees normally, but Son Oeste is a 7 member orchestra which makes for a more intimate ambience, yet maintains a very powerful sound.
