Flattop Tom and His Jump Cats

Flattop Tom & His Jump Cats, a versatile eight piece band, play classic Big Band style, West Coast Jump Blues, Blues, Jump Jive, Boogie Woogie and 40s & 50’s Rhythm & Blues. The band has been in existence since 1992 and has released three critically acclaimed CD’s.

Flattop Tom & His Jump Cats are a group of energetic, talented musicians dedicated to keeping traditional Swing & Blues alive. Besides being lead singer, Flattop Tom is a professional swing dancer. He prides himself with keeping with tempos right for the swing dancers. Flattop Tom also performs live dance exhibitions on most shows.

They have performed with Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers, The Blasters, Dick Dale and many more.  The bring a wide range of danceable, energetic music that generates enthusiastic audience response in a mixed crowd environment as well as a multi-dimensional performance featuring the charismatic Flattop Tom singing, playing harp and be sure to wear your dancing shoes as Flattop Tom has been known to  dance with members of his audience!
