9 Ball

9 Ball was our very first concert band at Lake Arrowhead Village.  Back before there was a Center Stage, 9 Ball played the first concert ever down where the carousel now stands.  It was a Labor Day weekend, a few years ago…..

Since then, 9 Ball has played Center Stage several times; two years ago we hosted a CD Release Party for them in honor of the release of their very first CD “Upside Down.”  You can safely assume that they are one of our favorite bands.

Ball is a unique rock/pop trio formed and fronted by singer/guitarist Tim Nienhuis (9-house). While touring and working as a guitarist with many different artists and bands in the L.A. and Orange County area Tim decided to form his own band with a couple of players he met along the way…..drummer Danny Gamboa and bassist Leo Song. Their love for eclectic pop and modern rock combined with Nienhuis' songwriting helped weave together their sound.

9 Ball has shared the stage with great acts like Kate Pierson of The B-52’s, Dada, Graham Parker, Bill Janovitz of Buffalo Tom, and Colin Haye of Men At Work. They have played Orange County’s hottest venues, and to top it off they were nominated for Best Indie Rock Band at the Orange County Music Awards in 2005, and they won!
